An exhibition of Sham’s work entitled, Foon Sham in Montana, will open at the Northcutt Steele Gallery on MSUB campus on September 7 and remain on view through October 6. This exhibition is comprised of a group of works selected from his studio that have had little public exposure. Explorations in various media including pencil drawings with wood, proposal pastel and acrylic drawings, spray paint with mixed media and small-scale wood sculptures and maquettes will be on display.

Foon Sham received a BFA from the California College of the Arts, and an MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a professor of Art at the University of Maryland. He has had 46 solo exhibitions in Washington DC metropolitan region, and in New York, California, France, Canada, Norway, Australia and Hong Kong. Most recent the Arts Achievement Award from Fairfax County, Virginia, and the Outstanding Educator Award from the International Sculpture Center.
