Promoting International Student Success Award
NOMINATIONS FOR 2024-2025
This award is intended to stimulate and reward faculty who demonstrate leadership in providing an atmosphere of success in and out of the classroom for the growing number of international students on the MSUB campus.
Eligibility: Any tenured, tenure-track or non-tenure track MSU Billings faculty member who has not won the award in the last 2 years
Award Amount: $1,000 stipend
Criteria: Evidence of contributions to the success of international students at MSUB
Guidelines for Submitting Nominations: Letters of nomination may come from all members of the campus community. Self-nominations are accepted. Preference will be given to those candidates nominated by current MSUB international students. Nomination statement must discuss the following areas:
- Using lesson plans or curriculum that have included global components or contributed to international communication and understanding among class participants;
- Challenging and encouraging international students to succeed academically in the classroom;
- Providing life advice to international students out of the classroom;
- Participating in other global initiatives or programs sponsored by MSU Billings.
Faculty Excellence Awards 2024-2025 must be submitted by October 28th, 2024, by 5 pm.
Once the nomination is submitted, the nominee will be contacted to determine if he/she wishes to have his/her name moved forward in the nomination process. Upon an affirmative answer, further instructions will be supplied.
