City College Leadership Award
NOMINATIONS FOR 2024-2025
This award is intended to stimulate and reward leadership, achievement, and service as evidence of excellent performance that furthers City College’s goal of becoming a comprehensive community college.
Eligibility: Any tenured or tenure-track City College faculty member who has not won the award in the past 5 years
Award Amount: $1,000 stipend
Criteria: The criteria for this award are:
- A consistently superior record of leadership, performance, resourcefulness and dedication as an employee of City College;
- Noteworthy involvement in activities that have advanced the academic program of City College;
- Evidence of creative achievement, research, or other professional attainment in the faculty member’s academic discipline or other significant innovative work that has enabled City College to broaden its service to students and community; and
- Demonstrated leadership in helping City College to further its mission of evolving into a comprehensive community college.
Guidelines for Submitting Nominations: Letters of nomination may come from all members of the campus community. Self-nominations are not accepted. The nomination should include specific narrative references to accomplishments addressing the criteria listed above. The nomination should identify the nominee’s other areas of strength relating to excellence which may not be included in the criteria.
Faculty Excellence Awards 2024-2025 must be submitted by October 28th, 2024, by 5 pm.
Once the nomination is submitted, the nominee will be contacted to determine if he/she wishes to have his/her name moved forward in the nomination process. Upon an affirmative answer, further instructions will be supplied.
