Dr. Jennifer Lynn, a distinguished graduate from MSUB, earned her Ph.D. in Modern German History from UNC Chapel Hill. Joining MSUB in 2011, she is a tenured full professor, celebrated for her scholarship, service, and teaching.

Her book, Contested Femininities: Representations of Modern Women in the German Illustrated Press, 1920 – 1960,v will be released on March 1 from Berghahn Books. Her current projects focus on activism to legalize abortion in Weimar Germany and the transnational work of Agnes Smedley. Dr. Lynn is co-director of the Women’s and Gender Studies Center. Alongside her work with students, she serves as a mentor to new women faculty, guiding them through their early years at MSUB and is actively engaged in the women’s faculty caucus. She also advocates for women through her work with PPMT and the YWCA.
