Academic Support Center (ASC)

The ASC is committed to ensuring that MSUB’s students achieve their educational objectives by offering a comprehensive collection of programs and services designed to support academic performance.  Some services we provide include:

  • Tutoring on the University Campus, City College, and online
  • Writing resources and asynchronous paper submission available in Canvas (students should add ‘ASC Writing and Resource Center’ as a course)
  • Supplemental Instruction for various courses
  • Peer Mentoring program
  • Math and Writing drop-in! Come in for quick questions; no appointments needed!

     University Campus ASC (located in the Student Union Building)

          Monday – Thursday 9am-5pm

          Friday 9am-4pm

          Monday & Wednesday evenings 5pm – 8pm

         Writing drop-in – Monday through Thursday 11:45am – 1:45pm

                Monday & Wednesday 5am – 8pm

         Math drop-in – Monday through Thursday 10am – Noon

                Monday & Wednesday 5pm – 8pm

    City College ASC (located in the Tech Building)

          Monday – Thursday 8:30am-4pm

          Friday 8:30-noon

          Writing drop-in – Monday through Thursday 10am - Noon

          Math drop-in – Monday through Thursday 10am – Noon
