MSU BILLINGS NEWS—Summertime is synonymous with construction in Montana.

At Montana State University Billings, it’s no different; the south McMullen parking lots and main entrance to the university from Poly Drive are being reconstructed over the summer.

These areas will be closed from now until at least July 15, weather pending.

The Poly Entrance Reconstruction Project is being conducted by Facilities Services at MSUB. Facilities Services Director Chris Eagan shared that the asphalt road coming off of Poly Drive and parking lots were beyond repair, therefore replacement was the only option.

Ongoing maintenance and eventual replacement of parking lots, roadways, and concrete curbs and gutters is typical for university facilities management operations. Replacements such as this project involve a three-to-five year planning, design and construction process.

MSU Billings will be open throughout the entire summer and all other campus entry points are open. Visitors to campus are encouraged to utilize the parking garage as they come to campus, accessible from 27th Street.
