MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Tyler Harris, a senior at Montana State University Billings from Froid, will be performing his senior recital on Monday, Nov. 29 at 7:30 p.m. at Cisel Recital Hall.

The concert, which is free and open to the public, will include works by John Phillip Sousa, Eric Ewazen, Edward Llewellyn, J.B. Loeillet and Maurice C. Whitney.

 

Harris graduated from Froid High School in northeastern Montana in 2005 and is completing a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education as well as a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Harris has been involved in the MSU Billings Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band and Concert Choir during his tenure at the university.

 

Harris, former president of the Associated Students of Montana State University Billings, has also been extremely involved as a Resident Assistant for two years, Upward Bound team leader and Upward Bound summer coordinator. This semester, he has been student teaching at Saint Francis Intermediate in Billings with Margie Larsen in third grade as well as with Glenda Newman at Billings Central. He is a student of Dr. Mark Fenderson.
