Funds support university students who make presentations at annual conference

MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — The Montana State University Billings History Club, Phi Alpha Theta, will have one of its popular “Brats, Burgers & Beer” fundraisers Saturday, Sept. 19 from 4-10 p.m. at the Yellowstone Valley Brewing Co., 2123 1st Avenue North. The fundraiser will be held in conjunction with the annual Billings Outpost Tuney Awards, which showcases the top local musical talent.

Featured again will be hamburgers, the MSUB History Club’s famous Black Widow Brats (bratwurst baptized in the award-winning Black Widow Stout ale before being barbecued), with all the trimmings. The food will be prepared by professors and students from the MSU Billings history department. The burgers and brats are $4; the good times, collegiality and camaraderie are priceless.

Proceeds will help fund the MSUB History Club’s trip to the annual Phi Alpha Theta Northwest Regional Student Conference in the spring of 2010. The MSU Billings History Club has members of various majors on campus who have a strong interest in history.
