MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Anyone looking for unique, handmade gifts the holidays can do so at a special one-day event offered by the Montana State University Billings Potters’ Guild. And they can help students at the same time.

The one-day-only Potters’ Guild Holiday Sale is set for Wednesday, Nov. 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second floor of the Liberal Arts and Library Building at the MSU Billings main campus, 1500 University Drive.

The event is open to the public and the Potters Guild will accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard and MSU Billings student U-Cards for payment.

A wide variety of beautiful, functional pottery and locally roasted coffee products will be available. People are encouraged to stop by early for the best selection of pottery. Proceeds from this sale benefit student artists and scholarships to send Potters’ Guild members to the 2009 National Council on Education in the Ceramic Arts Conference in April 2009.

The Potters’ Guild, open to all students at MSU Billings, also holds open studios in the MSU Billings Art Annex Ceramics Studio every Sunday from noon to 3 pm. The Art Annex is located at the intersection of North 27th Street and Poly Drive.

For more information, contact Lea Zoltowski, Potters’ Guild advisor and assistant professor of ceramics at MSU Billings at 657-2149 or via email at lzoltowski@msubillings.edu.
