What do you love about Montana?
I love Montana because it is a little bit a part of me. These are the same lands that my ancestors walked, andI see and carry them with me everywhere I go. This landhas provided us with everything we need to survive and live a good life.If it were not for the landormy family, I would not bethe person I amtoday.Forthat I am forevergrateful, andit is the reason whyMontana will always be the place I call home.
My best advice to future Yellowjackets would be:
There's no shame in askingfor help! Ifyou feel like you need a tutor, even within the first week of classes, that’s what the Academic Support Center is for. There areTONS of support serviceson campusandso many people more than willing to point you in the right direction. You must be willing to advocate for yourself and what you need because if you don’t ask,the answer will always be no.
Favorite place to hang out in Billings?
The rims! Whether it be for a hike, a nice evening stroll, or even just to gaze at our beautiful city; the rims never fail to put me in a better mood.
What do you love most about MSU Billings?
As a previous student of MSUB, I felta tremendous amount of support everywhere I went oncampus, but I especially found belonging through theNative American Achievement Center and their staff.Although I didn’t live on campus,I lovethe small campus vibe andthe sense of community that comeswith it.Regardless of who you are, MSUB has someone there who is cheering you on from the sidelines.
