Men’s Golf Finishes Eighth at North Idaho College Invitational
COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – The Montana State Billings men’s golf team finished eighth at the North Idaho College Invitational Monday. The Yellowjackets carded a 36-hole score of 638. Community College of Spokane won the tournament with a 596 score.
The Yellowjackets were led by Tyler Nicholas who carded rounds of 74 and 81 for a 155 total and tied for eighth. Travis Gates finished tied for 37th with a 162 score (77 – 85), while Jeff Allen finished tied for 41st with a 164 score. Allen tallied rounds of 86 and 74. Jacob Harr fired rounds of 87 and 78 for a 165 score and finished tied for 47th. KC Kindle shot a 90 and an 86 for a 176 score and tied for 74th.
Community College of Spokane won the tournament by 26 strokes over Skagit Valley Community College (622). Lethbridge College finished third (623), followed by Lewis-Clark State finished fourth (624) and Bellevue Community College and Lethbridge University finished tied for fifth with a 634 score to round out the top five.
This was the last fall tournament for the Yellowjackets as they will open the spring season at the Lewis-Clark State Invitational, Mar. 15-16, 2010.
