Ler Paces MSUB Harriers
Complete Results
DICKINSON, N.D. – The
Montana State Billings women’s cross country team was paced
once again by freshman standout Mykel Ler’s (Sidney)
11th
place finish. Ler finished the three-mile course in a time
of 20:10. As a team, the Lady Jackets placed third in the
five-team field just 11 points behind the host team
Dickinson State who finished second.

The Yellowjackets top four
times were turned in by freshman with all 11 Yellowjacket
runners finishing within 3:09 of each other. Following
Ler’s 11th place time was Dianna Stanley (Miles
City) in 15th with a 20:29. Morgan Streeter (Ryegate)
was 16th turning in a time of 20:30 followed by
Katie Thiel (Powell, Wyo.) in 17th in 20:39,
Cierra Dornfeld (Woodbury, Minn.) in 18th in
20:44, Colleen Dalimata (Columbia Falls) in 19th in 20:47, Malori Woodford (Mosby) in 20th in
20:49, Sarah Jackson (Bozeman) in 21st in 20:51,
Erin Mueller (Billings) in 27th in 21:43, Kym
Island (Columbia Falls) in 30th in 22:39, and
Erin Gannon (Yankton, S.D.) in 31st in 23:19.
The University of North
Dakota took top honors in the women’s race turning in an
average time of 19:33. Heidi Evans won the individual race
for UND cruising to a time of 18:36. Evans finished the
race 28 seconds ahead of second place.
The Yellowjacket men
fielded a team of five runners who placed fourth in the
four-team competition. Jarred Rensvold (Wolf Point) led the
Jacket men with a 16th place finish. Rensvold
completed the five-mile race in a time of 28:06. Following
Rensvold was Ryan Ceynar (Glendive) in 18th in
28:38, Kelley Miller (Glendive) in 29th in 30:46,
James Hopkins (Helena) in 30th in 33:39, and Joe
Houghton (Billings) in 32nd in 35:27.
Winning the men’s race was
host team Dickinson State with an average time of 26:24.
Sergio Campos-Jimenez of DSU won the individual pursuit in a
time of 26:08.
The Yellowjackets next
test will be Saturday, Sept. 29 at the
University of Colorado. |
