MSUB Soccer Climbs Two Spots in Poll
BILLINGS, Mont. –
Following last week’s tenth place ranking, the Montana State
Billings women’s soccer program climbed two spots to eighth
in a poll released earlier today.
The NSCAA poll is not used
to determine postseason seeding by the NCAA. The NCAA
Women’s Soccer Committee conducts its own regional polls for
determining postseason qualification.
Four Great Northwest
Athletic Conference schools, including the Yellowjackets,
were ranked in the poll. Seattle Pacific moved into first
followed by Seattle University who is second after last
week’s leader, UC San Diego, slipped from the rankings
entirely. Western Washington University also climbed in the
polls to fourth.
The Yellowjackets (5-2-0,
2-0-0) travel to Washington for a pair of conference road
games against GNAC opponents. MSUB will play at Western
Washington (4-2-0, 1-2-0) on Thursday, September 20,
followed by a game against Central Washington (3-4-2, 0-2-0)
on Saturday. September 22.
