Lady Jackets Fifth at RMAC Invite
KEARNEY, Neb. – The Montana State Billings
women’s golf team opened the 2007-2008 season on Monday at the
first Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference fall tournament hosted
by Nebraska-Kearney. The Lady Yellowjackets sit in a tie for
fifth place after the first round. The tournament will wrap up
with 18 holes on Tuesday.
Freshman Lindsay Erickson (Helena) fought
the wind and rain to lead MSUB with an 87. She shot 44 on the
front and 43 on the back to end the first day in a tie for
11th. Sophomore Amy Nordeen (Hamilton) sits in a tie for 18th
after shooting a 90.
The Yellowjackets’ scoring spots were
rounded out by Karrie Brack’s (Livingston) 94 and Nicole
Salsbery’s (Malta) 101. Calina Finnicum (Shepherd) shot a 107.
RMAC favorite Western New Mexico leads the
team standings with a 339. Mesa State is close behind with a
345 followed by Nebraska-Kearney at 357. Shelby White of Fort
Hays State leads the field after shooting a first-round 79.
