Lady Jackets Complete First Round at
Adams
ALAMOSA, Colo. – The Montana State Billings
women’s golf team completed the first round of its final fall
tournament on Monday. The Yellowjackets are in last place
following 18 holes at the 11-team Grizzly Invitational hosted by
Adams State. The tournament wraps up with 18 holes on Tuesday
with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start.
Amy Nordeen (Hamilton) is the top
Yellowjacket in the individual standings, sitting in 30th place
after an opening round 89. Also competing for MSUB were Lindsay
Erickson (Helena) in 37th with a 92, Karrie Brack (Livingston)
in 50th with a 98, Nicole Salsbery (Malta) in 52nd with a 99,
and Samantha Steffanich (Billings) in 57th with a 103. The
course is 5,982 yards and a par 71.
West Texas A&M leads the team standings by
10 strokes over Western New Mexico. The Lady Buffs shot a
20-over 304. WTAMU players hold the top three spots in the
individual standings, led by Stephanie Boldger’s 2-over 73. The
Yellowjackets’ 378 is five strokes behind Regis for 10th place
and seven strokes behind Colorado State-Pueblo and Colorado
Christian.
