Heaney and Rutz Sign
with MSUB Women’s Golf
BILLINGS, Mont. – Montana State Billings head
women’s golf coach, Kevin Woodin, announced Thursday that Erin
Heaney and Libby Rutz have signed national letters of intent
with the Yellowjackets.
“I am very excited to have both Erin and
Libby join our golf program this fall,” Woodin said. “They are both proven golfers who come from excellent
high school golf programs. I look forward to working with
both of them.”
Heaney, a native of Anaconda, Mont., was a 3
time all-conference golfer and earned all-state honors for her
senior season. She placed second in her divisional and
earned a top 10 finish in last fall’s Montana Class A State
tournament at Old Works.
Rutz, a local product out of Billings
Senior High School, placed in the top 10 at the AA State
tournament in both her junior and senior seasons. She earned all-state honors both year and has been a
member of three consecutive top five state tournament team
finishes at Billing Senior.
Heaney and Rutz join Glendive, Mont.,
product, Kalli Stanhope, in the 2008 women’s golf class. Stanhope also will play women’s basketball for the
Yellowjackets. |
