Lady Jackets Face Bears Friday

BILLINGS, Mont. –  The Montana State Billings women’s basketball team opens its season Friday with an exhibition game against cross town rival Rocky Mountain College.  The game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the Fortin Center.

Following Friday’s game the Lady Jackets will then turn around and play host to the Lady Bears on Tuesday, Nov. 6th.  Tip off is set for 7:00 p.m. at Alterowitz Gym.  Tuesday’s game will be streamed on the web with live stats and free internet radio broadcast available.

The Lady Jackets wrap up their exhibition season with a game against the Bobcats on Sunday, Nov. 11th in Bozeman.  Game time is set for 3:05 p.m.

MSU Billings finished the 2006-2007 season 22-10 overall and 7-3 in the Heartland Conference.  The Lady Jackets captured their second conference championship in as many seasons and made its eleventh trip to the NCAA Tournament.

Entering their first season in the powerful Great Northwest Athletic Conference, the Lady Jackets were picked to finish sixth in the 10-team league following a recent coaches poll.
