Jackets’ Crotteau Garners Award

State Billings volleyball player Devon
Crotteau has been named the Great Northwest Athletic
Conference Player of the Week for the week of September
17-23. The honor is Crotteau’s first and the program’s
second of the season.

Crotteau, an outside
hitter from Casper, Wyo., led the Jackets to a pair of 3-1
wins last week over GNAC opponents Saint Martin’s and
Western Oregon, Crotteau tallied 38 kills, 30 digs, and five
aces. Crotteau currently ranks fourth in the GNAC in kills,
averaging 4.22 per game.
In Thursday’s win over the
Saints, Crotteau had 17 kills, 16 digs, and a game-high
four service aces. On Saturday, the Yellowjackets handed
the Wolves their first conference loss of the season. In
the match Crotteau posted a career-high 21 kills, off a .245
attack percentage.
The Yellowjackets are 9-3
overall and 3-1 in league play. They are in a four-way tie
for first with Western Washington, Western Oregon, and
Central Washington. MSUB travels North to Alaska for a pair
of games against Alaska-Fairbanks (7-4, 1-2) on Thursday,
and Alaska-Anchorage (4-5, 0-3) on Saturday. A live video

match will be against preseason GNAC favorite Western
