Women’s Tennis’ Lehman
Tabbed RMAC Player of the Week
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Montana State
Billings senior women’s tennis player Heidi Lehman was named
Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Player of the Week Wednesday. It is the first player of the week award for the
Yellowjacket women’s tennis team this season.
Lehman, a native of Billings, Mont., went 4-0
last week helping the Yellowjackets to a perfect 6-0 record in
league play this season and lost only one set during the entire
conference season. Lehman, is 8-5 on the year in singles playing at the number one
position for MSUB.
Earlier in the year, she defeated Mesa
State’s Teri Mayeda who was tabbed RMAC Preseason Player of the
Year where she dropped her only conference set, but came back to
win the match. In
addition, Lehman defeated Division I member Utah State’s number
one player as well as coming within two points of defeating
fellow Division I Weber State’s top player as well.
The Yellowjackets’ regular season is
complete and will head to the RMAC Championships, Apr. 25-26 in
Kearney, Neb., as the only undefeated team in conference play.
