Four Yellowjackets
Finish in Top Eight at Montana State Open

BOZEMAN, Mont. – The Montana State Billings
men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams had
four top eight finishes at the Montana State Open at MSU Bozeman beginning
Friday evening. The
meet took place at the Brick Breeden Field House.
Along with MSUB, both Montana and Montana
State, along with University of Mary were in the meet.
In the women's division, junior Micah Merrill-Johnson (Salt Lake
City, Utah) placed eighth in the mile at 5:26.12. In
addition, freshman Amanda Baum (Winston, Mont.) finished eighth
in the 55 meter hurdles at 9.90. Fellow Freshman Lexi
Halvorson (Billings, Mont.) had a good showing in the women's
shot put as she was eighth with a distance of 35-11 1/4.
On the men's side, freshman Ryan Ceynar (Glendive, Mont.) had a
seventh-place finish in the 800 meters which was the best finish
by a MSUB male student-athlete.
The Yellowjackets will be back in action next
Friday at the Dave Little Invitational hosted by Black Hills
State in Spearfish, S.D. |
