MSUB Track and Field Heads to First Outdoor Meet at Bauer
Invitational
RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Montana State Billings
men’s and women’s track and field teams begin their first
outdoor season at the Bauer Invitational this Saturday at South
Dakota Tech.
“The team and I are really excited about
starting off the first NCAA outdoor track season at MSUB,” head
coach Dave Coppock said.
“We’re coming off a good first effort from our indoor
season, where we made a lot of progress and we are hoping to
carry that momentum into the outdoor season.”
The meet begins at 11 a.m. and the field
includes MSUB, Black Hills State, Dickinson State, Dakota
Wesleyan and South Dakota Tech.
The Yellowjackets are pretty familiar with the area and
the teams in the field as most of them competed in the Dave
Little Indoor Invitational at Black Hills State, Feb. 1.
The Yellowjackets qualified everyone on the
team for the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Indoor
Championships and Coppock hopes to do the same for the outdoor
championships. |
