MONMOUTH, Ore. – The Montana State Billings

afternoon, 7-2 and 6-1.
With the losses, the Yellowjackets fall to 20-19 on the

Western Oregon improves to 23-14 overall and 11-5 in

MSUB took a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning, capitalizing
on two WOU errors as Kelly Parsons doubled home Stephanie
Gosselin.
The Wolves exploded for five runs in the
bottom half of the inning to blow the game open.
A solo home run and a bases clearing triple proved to be
too much as WOU won 7-2.
Oberg had three of the Jackets seven hits,
while Lisa Moore went 2 for 2 for MSUB.
Western Oregon took the early lead 3-1 lead
in the nightcap and scored three more runs in the sixth to claim
the victory and the sweep as each team swept a doubleheader at
home this season.
The Jackets continue on the road Sunday as
they travel to Saint Martin’s for a doubleheader before heading
home for the remainder of the regular season. |
