Jackets’ Nicholas Fourth at
Dakota-Wesleyan Invite

men’s golfer Tyler Nicholas carded a second round 76 at the Hampton
Inn/Palace City Classic to finish fourth at the tournament.
Nicholas shot a two-over par 74 on day one for a combined 150
through 36 holes. The tournament wrapped up the fall schedule
for the Yellowjackets.
Host team Dakota Wesleyan cruised to the
tournament win carding rounds of 293 and 305 for a combined
598. Sioux Falls held onto second with rounds of 298 and 321
for a combined 619. MSU Billings used rounds of 304 and 321 to
reach the podium, finishing third in the eight-team field. The
Yellowjackets were just six strokes out of second place.
There was no change in the top four spots
following day one of competition. Tyler Evenson from Dakota
Wesleyan held onto his lead carding a round two 74 for a
combined 141 at the tournament. Five strokes off the pace was
second place finisher Brian Primavera from Hastings College.
Primavera shot rounds of 68 and 78 for a combined 146.
Evenson’s teammate Nick Gates was third matching his first round
74 to finish with a 148. Breaking a four-way tie for fourth
following round one, the Jackets’ Nicholas rose to the occasion
shooting a 74 and 76 for a 150 to claim sole possession of
fourth place.
