Yellowjackets Finish
Second in Weather-Shortened CSM Spring Invitational
LAKEWOOD, Colo. - Montana State Billings men's golf team completed the
weather-shortened CSM Spring Invitational three strokes behind
tournament champion Northern Colorado. The Yellowjackets finished with a 36-hole team score of 614 and UNC finished at 611.
The Yellowjackets held a one stroke lead over
Colorado Christian heading into Tuesday's
competition, but the tournament venue changed from the Red Rocks
Country Club to Fox Hollow due to inclement weather and poor
playing conditions.
Michael Konrad paced the Yellowjackets as he
fired a 73 in the final round for a fifth-place finish (77, 73)
for a 150 score. UNC's Stephan Bidne
fired a tournament-low 64 after carding an opening round of 81
to take the medalist honors. Tyler Nicholas carded a 70 for the Jackets on
Tuesday and finished tied for seventh.
Mike Watson and Kruise Kemp tied for 16th
with a 159 score and Jeff Allen (T-23rd) carded 163 total.
