Player Signs with Jackets
BILLINGS, Mont. – Montana State Billings
women’s basketball coach Kevin Woodin announced Tuesday that
Mary Anderson will play basketball for the Yellowjackets
beginning this fall. Anderson marks the third recruit for the Jackets this
spring.
“I am very excited to have Mary join our
Yellowjacket basketball program,” Woodin said. “She is a
tremendous player and person and I believe she will be effective
for us on both ends of the floor. I look for her to
contribute to our team right away.”
Anderson had an outstanding high school
career at Great Falls CMR where she earned 11 varsity letters in
three different sports (basketball, volleyball and tennis). The 6-2 post player was a four-year letterwinner in
basketball and was named first team Eastern AA all-conference
and was tabbed first team AA all-state as a junior and senior.
She helped lead CMR to the state tournament
all four years and averaged 14.7 points as a senior. She also led the state AA in rebounding in her final
season at 9.7 rebounds per game. In addition, she shot 48 percent from the field and 80
percent from the charity stripe.
Anderson joins Callie Kautzmann and Kallie
Stanhope as the three signees this spring for the Yellowjackets.
