Jacket Runners at Black Hills State

SPEARFISH, SD – The Montana
State-Billings men’s and women’s cross country teams
traveled to South Dakota to take part in the Black Hills
State Invitational today.
Competing against host Black Hills
State and South Dakota School of Mines, the men were led
by Matt Roseberry who clocked a time of 22:20, placing
him 17th. Joining Roseberry for team-best was
junior Jarred Rensvold who finished 24th with
a time of 23:38. Black Hills State’s James Hansen took
home the best time of the 6K race with 20:16.
The Jacket women competed only against Black Hills State
at the meet. Freshman Teri Lea McCormick once again led
the team, finishing 7th with a time of
17:21. McCormick was followed by teammate Crystal
Rosberry, who finished 8th with 17:51.
Tiffany Piplica’s time of 17:58 placed her at 9th
in the 4K race. Recording the fastest time for the
women was Black Hills State’s Liz Woodruff with 15:41.
Both Black Hills State squads took
home top team honors by a wide margin. South Dakota
School of Mines finished second in women’s competition.
The Yellowjackets will be competing
next in the Heartland Conference Championships on
Saturday, October 21 in Billings, MT.
