Lady Jacket Tennis Falls to Utes

SALT LAKE CITY, UT – University of
Utah soundly defeated Montana State-Billings in women’s
tennis action on Friday, defeating the Yellowjackets
7-0. The match was the first of the spring schedule for
the Yellowjackets. The Yellowjackets
also played a neutral match earlier
in the day, falling 7-0 to Division I Boise State
University.
Utah won all six singles matches in
straight sets. The Jackets’ best showing came at No. 1
where Heidi Lehman lost her first set in a tiebreak
before dropping the second 6-0. In doubles, the Utes
won the point with victories of 8-2, 8-1, and 8-0.
The Broncos won
all three doubles matches in straight sets, while in the
singles bracket
Lehman and Brianne Roney were each able to pick up a
game before both fell 6-1, 6-0 to their opponents.
