Jackets’ Stroup Named to All-Region Team
(11/15/06)
BILLINGS, MT – Montana
State-Billings senior forward
Ally
Stroup has been named to the Daktronics Women’s Soccer
Midwest Region First Team. Stroup is one of just two players
from the Heartland Conference selected to the first team.
Stroup
(Ojai, CA) finished her MSU Billings career as the school
record holder for career goals, assists, points, and game
winning goals. She started all 74 games of her Yellowjacket
career, also a school record. Stroup was the offensive leader
of the first senior class in school history to graduate with a
winning record. The last three seasons are the only winning
seasons in the program’s history.
This season Stroup led the
Heartland Conference in goals, goals per game, points, and
points per game. She also ranked second in the league for game
winning goals and fourth for assists. In leading the
Yellowjackets to a 13-6-1 record, Stroup set single season
school records for goals, points, and game winning goals. She
was named to the All-Heartland Conference first team for the
second-straight year and was also selected to the ESPN The
Magazine Academic All-District VII second team.
Sports information directors
