MSUB, Rocky Soccer Game to be Webcast
(9/18/06)
BILLINGS, MT –
Live audio of Wednesday’s Montana
State-Billings women’s soccer game against Rocky Mountain
College is scheduled to be webcast on the Yellowjacket Athletics
website. Listeners can log on to www.msubillings.edu/athletics
and click on the special soccer webcast link at the top of the
“Headlines” section of the page. Paul Roper and Kevin Luse will
be calling the action. Roper is a professor at Rocky Mountain,
and Luse is the Director of Coaching for Magic City Soccer and
the head boy’s soccer coach at Billings West High School.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00
p.m. at Daylis Stadium. MSU Billings is 9-0-0 and ranked fifth
in the NCAA Midwest Region in the National Soccer Coaches
Association of America poll. Rocky Mountain is 5-2-0 and ranked
fourth in NAIA Region 1. Both teams defeated Texas
A&M-International last weekend with the Yellowjackets winning
18-1 and the Bears prevailing 4-0.
Wednesday’s meeting will be
the fifteenth in the series between the two teams dating back to
1999. MSU Billings holds a 7-6-1 edge all-time against the
Bears. The teams split two games last year with each winning on
the other’s home field. Wednesday’s game will be the only
meeting between the Jackets and Bears this season. It is also
believed to be the first-ever collegiate soccer night game in
Montana. |
