Lemmens Resigns MSUB Softball Post
(5/2/07)
BILLINGS, MT –Kim Lemmens announced
Wednesday that she has resigned her position as head
softball coach at Montana State-Billings for personal
reasons and to pursue other professional opportunities.
The resignation will be effective as of June 30, the end
of the university’s fiscal year. Lemmens’s other
coaching stops have included Colorado State and Fort
Hays State.
“I’ve enjoyed my time here and the
people I’ve worked with,” said Lemmens. “The team had a
good year. There’s a good core to build upon, and I
wish the student-athletes the best in the future.”
Lemmens coached Montana
State-Billings to a 26-24 record in her only season at
the school. The Yellowjackets placed third in the
Heartland Conference with a 10-5 record. They were 2-2
at last week’s Heartland Conference Tournament, losing
out to Incarnate Word 7-5 in 13 innings, the longest
game in school history.
Dr. Gary Gray, Director of
Athletics, said the school will immediately begin a
national search for a replacement. |
