MSUB’s McNally to Host NSCAA Course

BILLINGS, MT – Montana State
University Billings men’s soccer coach Dan McNally will host a
National Soccer Coaches Association of America Regional Soccer
Coaching Diploma on July 7 and 8 in Billings. McNally was
recently appointed as the NSCAA Montana State Technical
Coordinator.
“The opportunity to work with
soccer coaches at all levels in Montana will bring positive
exposure to the men’s soccer program at MSU Billings and also
improve the overall standard of soccer coaching in the state,”
said McNally. “I am looking forward to working with as many
Montana soccer coaches as possible during the courses.”
The two-day course will be
held at the soccer field at Rocky Mountain College. The
Regional Diploma is a 13-hour course designed for the coach
working with players 11 to 18 years of age. An emphasis is
placed on learning to work with the developing player within
both an individual and team concept. The curriculum outlines
how technical and tactical concepts can be applied in the
development of players. The focus is placed on the basic methods
of coaching, teaching proper technique, the theory and
application of offensive and defensive tactics, and
understanding team management.
The cost of the course is
$70. All candidates must be at least 16 years of age at the
time of application. If a candidate is under 18 years of age,
an adult must accompany him or her for the duration of the
