Jackets Fall to Albertson College

BILLINGS, MT – A lone goal in
the first half proved to be the difference as the Yellowjacket
men fell to the visiting Albertson College, 1-0. The loss drops
the Jackets to 1-4-2 for the season, while Albertson College
improved to 2-3-1.
In a game in which the teams
endured constant rain and wind, both the defenses battled,
allowing a combined 11 shots on goal. Albertson College’s
Mauricio Both scored after pushing the ball through the right
side of the Yellowjacket defense and fired a shot to the left
side of the net at 22:48 in the first half.
MSU Billings goalkeeper
Sander Tollefson (Missoula, MT) saw 17 shots in the game and
recorded four saves.

Jeremy DeHerrera (Kalispell, MT), and
Chris Cornish (Surrey, England) each put two shots on goal
for the Jackets.
The Yellowjackets travel to
Texas for a three-game road trip beginning with Friday’s contest
against Texas A&M-International. They will then travel to
Odessa to face off against Texas-Permian Basin, followed by a
game with the College of the Southwest. |
