MSUB Soccer Signs Defender (4/23/07)
BILLINGS, MT – Montana
State-Billings men’s soccer coach Dan McNally announced Monday
that James Henry has signed a letter of intent to play for the
Yellowjackets next year. Henry is a 6-foot-2 defender from
Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
“James is a very good addition
to the men’s soccer program,” said McNally. “He is very strong
physically, and he understands the game tactically. James has
the potential to be an excellent defensive player at
MSU Billings.”
Henry will graduate in June
from Lake City High School in Coeur d’Alene. He was a four-year
letterman for the Timberwolves, playing center back and
defensive midfield. A four-time team captain, Henry was his
team’s defensive MVP as a freshman and junior. He earned
all-league honors as a junior and senior. Lake City qualified
for the state tournament the last three years, placing fourth in
2006.
“Montana State
University-Billings offers an environment where I can be
challenged athletically and academically,” said Henry of his
choosing to sign with the Yellowjackets. “The equal focus of a
student’s success in the classroom and on the field made MSUB
the perfect fit for me.” |
