MSUB Men’s Soccer Hires Assistant (7/20/06)
BILLINGS, MT – Montana
State-Billings men’s soccer coach Dan McNally announced this
week that Adam Spinelli has been hired as the program’s
assistant coach. Spinelli will begin his duties immediately.
The Yellowjackets report for fall practices on August 6 and play
their first game on August 24 at Colorado State-Pueblo.
Spinelli recently graduated
from Nova Southeastern University with degrees in Business
Administration and Sports and Recreation Management. He was a
three-year college starter, playing two seasons at Southern New
Hampshire University and one at Nova Southeastern.
In 2002 at Southern New
Hampshire, Spinelli was named the Northeast-10 Freshman of the
Year. He earned third team all-conference honors and was a
starter for the Penmen in the NCAA Division II National
Championship Game. At Nova Southeaster Spinelli was named to
the All-South Region Academic Team and was an Academic
All-America Nominee. He currently holds a USSF National “C”
license and a NSCAA National Goalkeeping license.
“Adam will be a great addition
to the men’s soccer program,” said McNally. “He has played in a
NCAA Div II National Championship game so he obviously will add
experience and quality. He will be a positive influence on the
men’s soccer program.” |
