MSUB Reinstates Men’s Basketball Players (1/6/07)

BILLINGS, MT – Montana State University-Billings announced Saturday that four men’s basketball student-athletes—Eric Cunningham, Russell Steplight, Drew Arnold, and Colby Sedlar—have been extended the opportunity to request reinstatement to the men’s basketball team. 

The four, dismissed from the team on November 20, 2006, for violation of team rules, had three levels of appeal available to them within and beyond the Athletics program at MSU Billings.  Based on Chancellor Ronald Sexton’s final findings in the matter, all four student-athletes are now able to request formal reinstatement to the program.  At this point, two of the four, Eric Cunningham and Russell Steplight, have done so and are expected to play in Saturday’s Heartland Conference game against St. Edward’s University.
