Jackets and Alumni Meet at Alterowitz (11/9/06)

BILLINGS, MT – Sandwiched between two exhibition games against cross-town rival Rocky Mountain College, the Montana State-Billings men’s basketball team will match themselves against Yellowjacket Alumni players Saturday, November 11 at Alterowitz Gym.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

Joining the cast of Alumni players include, Buddy Windy Boy (’06), Jerett Skrifvars (’04), Brian Cook (’02), Willy Davison (’03), Jay Edwards (’01), Justin Hassell (’05), Ryan Beld (’99), Joe Cook (’05), Joe Trottier (’04), and Brent Montague (’96).

In last week’s exhibition game against the Bears, the Jackets’ Jonathan Wiley (Westlake Village, CA) led all scorers netting 30 points in the game, 18 of which came in the second half.  Wiley was 14-17 from the charity stripe.  Freshman Jeff Miner (Gresham, OR) rallied for six second half three-pointers accounting for 24 of his 28 points.  Russell Steplight (Olympia, WA) added 11 points while teammate Drew Arnold (Tempe, AZ) netted eight points and 10 rebounds.

The Yellowjackets begin their regular season December 1 and 2 in Nampa, ID with a tournament hosted by Northwest Nazarene University.
