MSUB Baseball to Hold Meeting, Tryouts (8/18/06)

BILLINGS, MT – Montana State-Billings baseball coach Chris Brown has scheduled the first team meeting of the year as well as open walk-on tryouts. 

The team meeting will be September 8 at 3:00 p.m. in Classroom 54 of the Physical Education Building.  The meeting is open to all returning players, new players, and players interested in the walk-on tryouts.  Classes start at MSU Billings on September 6.

The open tryouts for walk-on players will take place September 11 and 12.  Both sessions will run from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Pirtz Field.  To participate in the tryouts a player must be enrolled for fall classes at MSU Billings.

The Yellowjackets, who will be in their second season of competition since adding baseball after a three-decade hiatus, are scheduled to start fall practices on September 13.  They will practice Monday through Friday during the “fall ball” season.  Regular practices for the spring championship season will begin in January.
