Strom Named Pitcher of the Week (3/26/07)

BILLINGS, MT – Montana State-Billings pitcher Brian Strom was named the Heartland Conference Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 12-18.  Strom is a sophomore southpaw from Littleton, Colo.  The conference did not announce the award until this past Sunday.

Strom threw his third complete game in five appearances in picking up the 3-2 decision against Central Washington University last week in Ellensburg.  Strom allowed just two runs, scattering three hits over seven innings of work.  He walked only one batter while striking out four.  He improved his record to 3-2 and had an earned run average of 2.57.  On the season, Strom has a 2.30 ERA and leads the team with 17 strikeouts.
