MSUB Athletics Scholarship Winners Announced

BILLINGS, MT – The
MSU Billings Foundation Athletics Scholarship Committee has
announced the recipients of its athletics scholarships for the
2007-2008 academic year. Twelve different student-athletes will
receive a total of $9,300 in endowed scholarship money.
Kym Island, a junior
cross-country runner from Columbia Falls, MT, received the
$1,000 Athletic Endowed Scholarship.
Four $475 Nels Christiansen
Athletic Honor Scholarships were awarded to Abby Bennett,
Gillette Vaira, Jarrett Rummel, and Nicole Salsbery. Bennett is
a senior women’s soccer player from Livingston, MT. Vaira is a
junior cheerleader from Lambert, MT. Rummel is a junior men’s
tennis player from Missoula, MT. Salsbery is a senior women’s
golfer from Malta, MT.
Colleen Dalimata, a senior
cross-country runner from Columbia Falls, MT, received the
$1,000 Dick Edwards Memorial Endowed Scholarship.
Four $1,000 Paul & Patti
Gunville Athletic Endowed Scholarships were awarded to Micah
Merrill-Johnson, Bryce Ramsey, Justin Hoskins, and Jelisa Guy.
Merrill-Johnson is a junior women’s soccer player from Salt Lake
City, UT. Ramsey is a sophomore men’s soccer player from
Cheyenne, WY. Hoskins is a junior men’s soccer player from
Billings. Guy is a sophomore women’s soccer player from
Kalispell, MT.
Mike Barton, a sophomore men’s
basketball player from Havre, MT, received the $750 Men’s
Basketball Endowed Scholarship.
The $650 PPL Montana Women’s
Softball Endowed Scholarship was awarded to Terina Stacks from
Washougal, WA. Stacks is currently in her junior season. |
