BILLINGS, MT – Montana State-Billings
men’s soccer coach Dan McNally announced Tuesday that three
more players have signed to play for the Yellowjackets this
fall. McNally said his roster is nearly complete for the 2005
season. He currently has 25 players on the roster and may add
one or two more. Joining the Jackets when fall camp opens in
early August will be Jay Dougan of Lanarkshire, Scotland,
Bryce Ramsey of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Jeff Davis of Cheney,
Wash.
Dougan graduated in 2004 from Uddingston
Grammar School. He was a team captain and played every game
as a senior. He was also selected to play on the region team
as a left fullback. Last year Dougan attended Bell College in
Glasgow, Scotland.
“I believe Jay will give the team good
balance on the left hand side,” said McNally. “He is a good
athlete with the ability to provide excellent service to our
forwards. I believe Jay will be an important part of the
soccer program for the next 4 years.”
Ramsey graduated in May from Cheyenne
Central High School. He lettered four times in soccer, three
times is football, and once in wrestling. An all-conference
and all-state selection in both soccer and football, Ramsey
was Cheyenne Central’s Male Athlete of the Year as a senior.
He earned soccer all-conference honors four times and was
named all-state three times. “Bryce is an excellent athlete
with the potential to be a very good collegiate player,” said
McNally.
Davis graduated from Cheney High School
in June. He lettered four times in soccer as a midfielder.
He scored four goals with eight assists as a senior to earn
Greater Spokane All-League second team honors. As a junior
Davis was named to the 3A Frontier League first team.. Cheney
HS won the GSL 3A Championship the last three years.
“Jeff is a solid midfield player that can
play in numerous positions,” said McNally. “He has good
technical skill, and I expect him to be an impact player over
the course of his career at MSU Billings.” |
