Jackets Blue-Gold Scrimmage Saturday (11/10/05)
BILLINGS, MT – The Montana State-Billings
men’s basketball team will hold its annual public Blue-Gold
Scrimmage on Saturday, November 12. Tip off is scheduled for 7:00
p.m. at Alterowitz Gymnasium.
Admission to the game is free. Season and
single game ticket packages will be for sale in the main lobby.
The Yellowjackets open the regular season on November 21 when they
host Johnson & Wales from Denver.
MSU Billings has a roster of 12 for the
2005-2006 season. Head coach Craig Carse returns for his eleventh
campaign with a career 185-89 record at MSU Billings. The
Yellowjackets will be led by senior co-captains Cameron Munoz
(Chino, CA) and Buddy Windy Boy (Lodge Grass, MT). Both players
could finish their careers ranked in the top three in school
history for 3-point shooting. Last season the Yellowjackets
ranked second in NCAA Division II for both scoring and 3-point
shooting.
The Jackets will be playing their first
season in the Heartland Conference, bringing a new cast of
opponents to Billings in 2005-2006. MSU Billings was picked by
the league’s coaches to finish second in the conference behind
defending champion St. Mary’s. The Yellowjackets open the
conference schedule on January 4 when they host Western New
Mexico. The winner of the Heartland regular season will host the
conference tournament March 3 and 4.
