BILLINGS, MT – Montana State-Billings senior Moritz Wohlers received his second Heartland Conference player
of the week honor this week after helping lead the Yellowjackets
to three-straight road wins last week. Along with being Wohlers’s
second selection of the season, it was the fifth overall player of
the week honor for a Yellowjacket.
Wohlers, a 6-8 center from Wolfenbuttel,
Germany, was Mr. Steady all week to help the Yellowjackets extend
their current winning streak to six games and to improve to 4-0 in
the Heartland Conference. He averaged 20.7 points and 7.3
rebounds a game as MSU Billings won three-straight road games in
Texas. On Wednesday Wohlers had 23 points and nine rebounds in an
HLC win at Incarnate Word. On Thursday he scored 22 with five
boards in a non-conference win at UIW. Saturday Wohlers had 17
points, eight rebounds and three assists to help the Jackets knock
off defending league champion St. Mary's.
In the three games he was 21-of-31 from the
field (67.7%). For the season Wohlers ranks third the Heartland

field goal percentage (58.8).
The Yellowjackets, 11-2 overall and 4-0 in
the Heartland Conference, return to the road for two games this
weekend. They will play a conference game at Lincoln University
in Jefferson City, MO, on Saturday afternoon. MSU Billings then
