Jacket Baseball Cancelled Tuesday (4/17/06)
BILLINGS, MT – Montana State-Billings
baseball coach Chris Brown announced Monday afternoon that
Tuesday’s exhibition game against Miles Community College has been
cancelled because of the wet spring weather. No make-up date has
been scheduled.
The Jackets and Pioneers were scheduled to
meet in a single nine-inning game at Cobb Field on Tuesday and
then again in Miles City on April 25. MSU Billings (10-28
overall, 8-20 HLC) will next play on Friday, April 21, when the
Yellowjackets host Heartland Conference opponent Oklahoma
Panhandle State (4-38, 3-25). The Yellowjackets and Aggies will
square off in doubleheaders on both Friday and Saturday at Cobb
Field. The first game on Friday will begin at noon; Saturday’s
first game will start at 11:00 a.m.
MSU Billings has 12 home games remaining in
its 2006 season. Following this weekend’s games against Panhandle
State, the Yellowjackets will host St. Mary’s (28-12, 21-7) on
April 28 and 29, and Incarnate Word (28-13, 22-6) on May 5 and 6. |
