Baseball Eager to Start
Season (2/23/06)
BILLINGS, MT – After having
last weekends games cancelled due to inclement weather in
Colorado, the Montana State-Billings baseball team finally has
their chance to get in the dirt. The team headed to Nampa,
Idaho to take on Northwest Nazarene University February 24 and
25. Each day will feature a double-header.
This is the Jackets inaugural
season in the Heartland Conference and was picked to finish
sixth in the pre-season polls. The Crusaders have eight games
under their belt this season and are 2-6 overall. Friday’s
first pitch is scheduled for 12 noon. Saturday’s double-header
is set for 2:00 p.m.
Following the games in Idaho,
the Yellowjackets will make a two-week swing through Texas
playing Heartland Conference games against St. Mary’s (TX),
Incarnate Word, and St. Edward’s March 1-13. |
