Milne and Harvey Move up in National Stats Rankings (Feb. 22, 2005)
BILLINGS, MT – Montana State-Billings women’s
basketball players Robyn Milne and Shannon Harvey climbed in the NCAA statistical rankings this
week.
Milne, a senior from Richey, MT, moved up to
No. 6 nationally for blocked shots per game (3.6) and to No. 30
for rebounds per game (10.0). Harvey, a sophomore from Billings,
climbed to No. 19 for 3-point field goal percentage.
The Yellowjackets, 17-6 overall, have four
games remaining on their regular season schedule. They play at
Western Oregon Tuesday night and at Rocky Mountain College on
Friday. The Jackets finish the regular season next week with a
pair of games at Western New Mexico.
MSU Billings is also ranked in the top 40
nationally in six team statistical categories this week. The
Yellowjackets are 13th for field goal percentage
defense (35.0), 30th for scoring margin (+11.7) and
field goal percentage (44.4), 36th for rebound margin
(+6.4), 38th for free throw percentage (73.8), and 39th for 3-point field goals per game (6.3).
The Jackets were ranked eighth in the most
recent NCAA West Region poll. The top eight teams in the final
poll of the season qualify for the NCAA Tournament. The next NCAA
regional polls will be released on Wednesday. |
