Lady Jackets Balanced in NCAA Stats Rankings

BILLINGS, MT – The Montana State-Billings
women’s basketball team is ranked in top 46 in six team
statistical categories in this week’s NCAA Division II statistical
rankings. The Lady Jackets, 15-6 and ranked eighth in the West
Region, host Grand Canyon on Friday and Saturday in two important
West Region contests.
The NCAA ranks the top 50 teams in nine
statistical categories. The Yellowjackets have been ranked in six
of those categories most of the year. They are 16th for field goal percentage defense (35.1), 26th for
field goal percentage (44.9), 36th for scoring margin
(+11.7), 35th for free throw percentage (73.8), 39th for 3-pointers per game (6.4), and 46th for rebound
margin (+5.4).
Senior Robyn Milne (Richey, MT) is eighth in the nation for blocked
shots per game at 3.5. She climbed to 21st for career
blocked shots in NCAA Division II history last week with a total
of 248. She is four blocks from breaking into the top 20 all
time. Milne will play her final home game as a Yellowjacket
Saturday night as MSUB finishes the season with four road games.
Milne is also ranked 34th nationally for rebounds per game at 10.0. Shannon Harvey (Billings, MT) had a good shooting week and
moved from 31st to 25th in the country for
3-point field goal percentage at 40.4 percent. |
