Lady Jackets’ Milne Climbs National Rankings (Feb. 1, 2005)
BILLINGS, MT – Montana State-Billings senior Robyn Milne climbed from No. 9 to No. 7 in the nation for
blocked shots in this week’s NCAA Division II women’s basketball
statistical rankings. The center from Richey, MT blocked seven
shots in two games last week and is averaging 3.6 blocks per game.
Milne had four blocks in a win over Western
Oregon early in the week. She added three blocks in a loss at
North Dakota State despite playing only 13 minutes because of the
flu. Milne has blocked 242 shots in her career at MSU Billings,
ranking her 22nd in NCAA Division II history. Her next
blocked shot will tie her with Rashida Brooks (Bowie State,
1996-99) for 21st on the all-time list.
Milne needs ten more blocks to reach the
career top 20 for Division II. Her former teammate, Jessie
Henigman (2000-03) is ranked fourteenth in NCAA II history with a
school record 272 blocks.
Milne is also ranked 27th this
week for rebounds per game at 9.8. Shannon Harvey (So., Billings, MT) ranks 25th for
3-point field goal percentage (40.8).
As a team, MSU Billings is ranked in six
statistical categories. The Yellowjackets are 25th for
field goal percentage defense (35.4), 26th for field
goal percentage (45.1), 34th for rebound margin (+6.6),
36th for scoring margin (+12.4), and 41st for free throw percentage (73.8) and 3-point field goals per game
