Colorado JC Transfer to Join Lady Jackets (Aug. 16, 2004)

BILLINGS, MT – The Montana State-Billings women’s basketball team has added Angela Lessard, a 5-foot-7 junior guard from Elizabeth, Colo., for the 2004-2005 season.  Lessard played the last two seasons at Otero Junior College and will have two years of eligibility remaining.

At Otero J.C., Lessard averaged seven points, six assists and three steals a game as a sophomore.  She helped Otero to a runner up finish at the 2004 Region IV Tournament and a regional championship at the 2003 Region IV Tournament.

A 2002 graduate of Elizabeth High School, Lessard lettered four times in basketball and twice each in track volleyball and softball.  As a senior in 2002, she earned all-conference and all-state honors after averaging 11.7 points, 8.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.  She was also named to the all-conference team as a sophomore and junior and helped Elizabeth HS reach the state tournament four years in a row.
