Columbus’s Behrent Signs to Join Lady Yellowjackets (July
12, 2004)
BILLINGS, MT – Columbus, Mont.,
native Colette Behrent has signed a national letter
of intent to play basketball at Montana State
University-Billings next season. A 2003 graduate of
Columbus High School, Behrent redshirted last season
at Weber State University.
Behrent lettered four times in
basketball and three times in volleyball at CHS.
She was a two-time all-conference selection and
earned Class B All-State honors as a senior. She
was also named the Columbus High School Female
Athlete of the Year as a senior.
Behrent helped the Cougars to
district and divisional titles as well as a Class B
State runner-up finish as a junior in 2002. In her
senior season, CHS was the district runner-up and
finished third at the divisional tournament.
Behrent was selected to play in the Montana-Wyoming
All-Star Series after averaging 15 points and seven
rebounds a game in her senior season.
Behrent joins a Yellowjackets
team that was 16-11 last season. The Lady Jackets
have four starters returning, led by All-West Region
selection Robyn Milne (Richey, Mont.) and leading
scorer Tanya Petersen (Billings, Mont.). Also
returning are starters Jenny Langford (Reedpoint,
Mont.) and Jennifer Skrifvars (Brea, Calif.). |
