Jacket Volleyball Inks JC Transfer (Apr. 21,

BILLINGS, MT – Montana State-Billings
volleyball coach Pa’ulasi Matavao announced Thursday that Alyssa
Watson has signed a national letter of intent to play for the
Yellowjackets next year. She is transferring after two seasons at
Sheridan College.
Watson, a 5-foot-10 outside hitter was a
second team All-America selection as a sophomore at Sheridan
College where she broke the single season kills record. She also
earned all-conference, all-region, and player of the year honors.
As a freshman, Watson was named the freshman of the year and
earned all-conference recognition.
A native of Calgary, Alberta, Watson
graduated from Dr. E.P. Scarlett High School in 2003. She
lettered three years in volleyball, two years in track, and one
year in field hockey. She was a three-time team MVP and helped
her team to the city championship as a sophomore and a senior. As
a senior her club team captured the national championship. |
